Portfolio Of Homes

Sunbeam

This home is just a few blocks from Main Street in Breckenridge. The lot posed challenges because it was long and narrow. Working closely with the architect we used corner (3-sided windows) to take full advantage of views up valley and of the park next door.

Closed cell (rigid) insulation is used throughout not only as superior insulation and moisture infiltration, but also to helps to suppress the sounds of families enjoying themselves on the neighboring town sledding hill.

One of the key unique features in this home is the open three sided fireplace. No other residences in the area at that time had such a fireplace. This unique detail came about soley due to the persistence and determination of Double Diamond to fulfill the homeowner's desire.

Summit Estates

This exquisite house is a LEED Gold certified home built in 2010. With clean lines, a modern take on a grand fireplace, stunning views with lots of entry points for sunshine, and many details that feel like an upscale version of the “reclaimed” look, this home is warm and bound to impress for decades to come.

Diamond Point

Positioned on one of the most incredible lots, encompassed by the combination of an exterior waterfall that begins near the front door, dips under the front walkway and cascades down the side yard,  this home is maxed out with custom details and superior-grade surface materials. With a one-of-a-kind "Fire Falls" and an outdoor fire pit, large entertaining areas, and plenty of bunk beds for the kiddos, this is an experience to explore. Don’t forget to enjoy the wine cellar, expansive bathrooms, and abundant kitchen.

Spruce Valley Lodge

The owners of this home do a lot of entertaining and they wanted a home that could accommodate large numbers of people in the kitchen/dining/great room area. The challenge was that they wanted no center support posts or walls in this large expanse of a room. The plans called for two large steel beams to obtain this goal. The beams were 42′ long, the driveway was winding, and 130′ long, you can imagine the challenge of getting them to the site. When we set the 2 huge 42′ long by 3′ tall beams in place 18′ in the air it looked like we were erecting a bridge. The finished area turned out to be exactly what the homeowner wanted, and has entertained many a guest.

Gold Flake

This home was built in town with other homes surrounding it. The biggest challenge we faced was to maximize the amazing view of the ski mountain while minimizing the view of the adjoining properties. After numerous site visits and working closely with the architect we were able to obtain excellent views. Using glass block as a kitchen wall we were able to bring light in without being able to see the closest neighboring home. Some of the unique features included in this home is a water feature located near the front door of the home on both the interior and exterior. The exterior feature creates the sensation of a small creek running through your front yard. Inside the home humidity is provided along with the soothing sound of flowing water.  Inlaid copper details were added to the trim material to add a unique presence. In the back yard of the home, the placement of a stamped, heated concrete patio with a fire pit and sunken hot tub provides a relaxing area to sit and enjoy the views.
